This introduction is written at the start of me trying to study out this topic, and I would just like to try and write down my thoughts and ideas about this subject.

There is a lot of confusion around the devil, as a young child I was taught that the Devil was a angel named Lucifer that rebelled against God (with 1/3 of the angels). He more or less facilitates all evil in the world with his demons/fallen angels and will be judged at the great judgement.

At the moment my understanding of this narrative is that it is a catholic doctrine which 'cherry picked' and combined multiple verses and combined them to form their own eisegesis (A subjective method of interpretation by introducing one's own opinions into the original: opposed to exegesis.¹⁾) Other
