Shem fathered Arpachshad 2 years after the flood when Shem was 100 years old (Genesis 11:10) The flood happened when Noah was 600 years old (Genesis 7:6 And 7:11) With this information we can calculate How old Noah was when he fathered Shem: 600 + 2 – 100 = 502
